Differential Pricing

The club is operated as a Mutual Trading arrangement.  This arrangement is a basic principle of taxation that you cannot make a taxable profit by trading with yourself, and this means that in the case of a club which is owned by its members and which exists to provide them with facilities, any profit made from the monies paid by the members is not liable to tax.  For this to apply, every person (partners excluded) must be either a member or a visitor of a member—any visitors who attend the club more than three times are expected to become members.  This is why it’s essential to either be a member or ensure your guests are signed in to maintain our Mutual trading arrangement with HMRC.

Starting from the 1st of June, the Binfield Club will introduce differential pricing.  This change means visitors will pay a different price (an extra 25%) to members.  There are no changes to member prices.  This change is so that the club can maintain its low prices and club facilities for members in the future.  Starting the 1st of June, you will be asked for your card when you pay, so you must remember to bring your card.  You will still be able to pay by cash or card, but you can also load credit on your membership card to use as you like.

The committee have been working on this for many months, and we look forward to continuing to offer low prices and excellent facilities at The Binfield Club.
