THE BINFIELD CLUB, ITS PEOPLE, OUR COMMUNITY, OUR SURROUNDINGS ARE GREAT... AND PERHAPS ITS EVEN BETTER TO INTRODUCE US ... AS THAT RATHER SPECIAL NUMBER ... '42' ... WHICH ENGLISH AUTHOR DOUGLAS ADAMS ANNOUNCED TO THE WORLD AS BEING 'THE ANSWER TO EVERYTHING' AND MAKES MANY OF US BELIEVE THAT HE WAS THINKING OF OUR CLUB AT THE TIME!
YOU WILL UNDOUBTEDLY KNOW OF SOME PLACES THAT HAVE A HAPPY HOUR ONCE A WEEK, SOME HAVE A BIT MORE - BUT OUR CLUB IS DIFFERENT: WE REALLY ARE YOUR LUCKY NUMBER '42' AS EVERY HOUR IN THE BINFIELD CLUB IS HAPPY HOUR!!!!
Let the Binfield Club be your choice for relaxation, entertainment or just plain refuge in an engaging Community situated in the heart of Binfield Village: our setting is a real gem of a place in a pleasant green belt village with a long history, which is surrounded by, yet separate from, the neighbouring Berkshire towns of Bracknell, Wokingham, Maidenhead and Windsor.
We provide an enjoyable retreat from the trial and tribulation of the constant hassle in city and town. Members and visitors alike can indulge in our inexpensive drinks, choose great home-cooked food from Mandy's Kitchen and soak up the relaxed friendly atmosphere or just enjoy being stimulated and amused whilst taking part in our range of entertainments.
If you want to chill out in good company, as so many of us do either at the end of a day's work, or when we just need a bit of laughter and cheer, then come along and join all of us here at any time. We're situated in the heart of our village, you cannot miss our historic building at the village crossroads perched on Forest Road at the junction where Terrace Road North meets Terrace Road South: keep your eyes peeled for our clock-tower with it's clock and the Binfield Club sign. You won't be disappointed as we know the answer to easing away the day and we aim to provide it: just drop in and see what you are missing!
And if you really haven't a clue about how to get to us: click on DIRECTIONS, here or the box on the HOMEPAGE, BUT DO MAKE SURE you take note of this POSTCODE: RG42 5HS' (believe it or not this post code is closer than the one provided by Royal Mail!) to get here. Look out for our clock and sign when you arrive at our roundabout location on Forest Road/Terrace Road (Nth/Sth) and make your way into the CLUB for a friendly welcome.
If he was alive today, Alexander Pope, one of Binfield's most famous residents and arguably
England's most prolific 18th Century essayist, author, poet, wit and satirist would certainly
have enjoyed time in the Binfield Club. Pope's literature legacy to the world included a
multitude of gems: such as
'Blessed is he who expects nothing, for he shall never be disappointed';to list but a few!
And true to form many of Pope's 'would-be contemporaries' let their hair down by relaxing with witty conversation and lively repartee in our Club and have no trouble emulating Pope's witticism:
'And wine can of their wits the wise beguile, Make the sage frolic, and the serious smile.'
Of course, rather more often today, letting your hair down means having a party, listening to live music, being part of social gatherings and functions, being entertained, or just taking part in some of the other wide-ranging enjoyable activities. Our Club really has so much going on that it is almost certain that you will find your niche here:SO COME PREPARED, IT'S ADDICTIVE & YOU WON'T WANT TO LEAVE!
